Las principales características son una excelente capilaridad que permite al color deslizarse fácilmente por la superficie de la miniatura, depositándose en todos los relieves, y con más intensidad en las hendiduras de la figura, creando así un efecto de contraste con una única capa de color. Se recomienda aplicar Xpress Color sobre una superficie imprimada o pintada en blanco o gris y el color generará zonas de luz sobre los relieves, tonos medios saturados y sombras intensas en las hendiduras de la figura. Los colores de la gama Xpress Color, al igual que el resto de nuestros productos, son muy versátiles y pueden aplicarse sobre cualquier color de la gama para crear sutiles efectos de sombreado y perfilado, veladuras o filtros y fundir transiciones entre tonos. Xpress Color se pueden mezclar entre sí o diluidos con Medium Xpress para modificar o crear nuevas tonalidades.
